Dr. Richetin Kevin, Ph.D. – Group Leader
After a PhD in Neuroscience on Alzheimer’s disease (Pr. Claire Rampon), I joined in 2015 the group of Pr. Déglon to develop different viral tools for neurodegenerative diseases. In 2017, I join the group of Pr. Toni for a second postdoctoral fellowship to investigate the role of astrocytes in the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. In 2020, I established my own research lab on age-related dementia (Center of Psychiatric Neurosciences of the CHUV of Lausanne – Switzerland).
Jeanne Espourteille – Ph.D. Student
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at Lehigh University, I came to the University of Lausanne to pursue a master in Medical Biology with a specialization in Neuroscience. In June 2020, I joined the Tonilab under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Richetin and Prof. Nicolas Toni and began my master project studying the potential for brain-derived extracellular vesicles to be used as early diagnostic tools for various tauopathies and dementias. I then continued working on this project in June 2021 as a PhD student.
Lucas Culebras – Bioinformatic Master Student (UNIL)
I am working on the automation of processes to identify the content of extracellular vesicles during different brain pathologies.
Marie Morgane Mathelin – Technician (2019)
Valentin Zufferey – Master student (2018/2019)
My work consisted in developing live imaging techniques on astrocytes in culture
Camille Boucher Aguilar- Master student (2018)
My master’s work aimed to better understand the astrocyte population in the aging hippocampus
Enea Parietti – Master student (2017)
